I am confused about my car it is a 2004 Ford Explorer and I am dumb when it comes to cars!?

I was wondering it has no four wheel drive and it has no front wheel drive how do you tell if it has rear wheel drive? What is the anti lock braking system for does it substatute for front wheel drive? It has Michalin tires cross terrain teadwear 480 traction A Temp B are those kind of tires good for winter? Are these all season tires? What is the panic on for on the keys and the red light tat flashes on the dash when the car is off is this an anti theft system? Thanks for all the answers!
