Is this considered a racist comment by a Clinton backer?

It sounds like he doesn't know what the hell he's talking about. It seems like he means that he thinks that white people are being subtly racist by being impressed with a black man who speaks well. It seems to me like Mr. Cleaver does not know that we're in 2008. I'm really disappointed that he's a superdelegate.
