What's wrong with my crosley turntable?

I just got it a few weeks ago, it's the 'keepsake' model that can convert records to wav/mp3. anyway, the problem is the turntable won't start up. the power comes on, the needle mic comes on, but nothing happens when it tries to spin. i had this problem earler this week but solved it by adjusting the turntable suspension screw, but i think i might have broken something that was only temporarily fixed. any ideas on what might be wrong? if the belt is ****** up thats a real big problem cause the inside isn't even accessible i don't think. any ideas what might help or what might be wrong?
