How do I (temporarily) lighten the color of clothing?

I'm trying to get an overall jumpsuit from blue to light blue. It's made out of Nomex so I don't want to bleach it. I'm looking for a way to lighten the suit temporarily, if possible. I was thinking of soaking it in a white sort of dye. I'm not sure how to do this and I really need this suit a few shades lighter. Thank you.
