Do people really see no connection between Obama being depicted as a Muslim on the New Yorker cover and ...?

What caricature on the front of the new yorker magazine is just the opposite of the feeling of Senator Obama and Mrs. Obama. Senator Obama is not a muslim but a Christian. Even if you were to take a candidates religious choice into effect this would have no correlation to his expertise in politics, foreign and domestic policies. Let us not forget that President John Fitzgerald Kennedy was a Roman Catholic which some thought that this would affect his policies. Were these people ever wrong.
